The crew, consisting of seven members, is ordered by their company to investigate the source of the signal, which leads them to a derelict spacecraft on the planet. While exploring the spacecraft, one of the crew members, Kane, discovers a chamber filled with eggs. When he approaches one of the eggs, a creature latches onto his face, and the crew brings him back to the ship to receive medical attention. As the crew attempts to remove the creature from Kane, it hatches into a violent and deadly alien creature that begins to hunt down and kill the crew one by one. The alien proves to be almost indestructible and highly adaptive, making it a formidable opponent for the crew.
